About JamNet
A journalist-led platform built to make media work better — for everyone involved.
JamNet started as a simple solution to a frustrating problem: too much noise, not enough relevance.
Today, it’s a curated space where journalists, brands, and PR professionals connect more intentionally — and more effectively.
JamNet is intentionally smaller
Traditional media outreach wasn’t built for how journalists actually work.
- Inbox overload.
- Irrelevant pitches.
- Endless back-and-forth emails.
Somewhere along the way, the process became more about volume than value.
JamNet was created to shift that.
Instead of chasing contacts or sorting through hundreds of emails, journalists can ask for exactly what they need — and receive focused, relevant responses from people who are actually a fit.
It’s a simpler system. A more respectful one.
And ultimately, a more effective one.
From list to Platform
JamNet didn’t start as a company.
It started as a personal tool.
Our founder, Rachel created a small, curated mailing list to make her own workflow easier — a way to reach trusted PR contacts without the noise.
But something interesting happened.
- Journalists started asking to join.
- PRs began forwarding it.
- Engagement was high.
What was meant to be a simple solution quickly grew into something much bigger.

Meet the founder
I’m Rachel — a working journalist.
I built JamNet because I was frustrated.
Existing tools felt overwhelming, impersonal, and built for scale rather than usefulness. My inbox was full, but rarely helpful. The signal-to-noise ratio just didn’t make sense.
So I created something for myself.
A simple, curated way to connect with PRs and brands I trusted — without the chaos.
I didn’t plan to turn it into a platform.
But journalists started asking to be included. PRs began engaging more thoughtfully. The workflow worked.
So I kept building.
JamNet is still small by design.
Still founder-led.
Still built with the same question in mind:
Does this make a journalist’s job easier — or harder?
If it makes it harder, it doesn’t belong here.
What We Believe
JamNet is built around a few core principles:
Journalists come first
This platform exists to support editorial work. Everything else follows.
Quality over quantity
Fewer, better connections are more valuable than endless noise.
Consent matters
No scraping. No blasting. No unwanted outreach.
Human-first always
No bots. No automation pretending to be real communication.
Better collaboration is possible. With the right structure, journalists and PR professionals can work together more effectively — and more respectfully.
Looking Ahead
JamNet is still evolving.
Future features will continue to expand how journalists and PR professionals connect — while staying true to the core philosophy of being curated, intentional, and journalist-led.
